Suitable Substrates

Limewash & Lime Slurry
Limewash is a thin, two-coat, breathable lime paint hand-brushed that creates a velvety matte finish with soft tonal variation for depth and dimension. When applied over textured or contoured substrates, the mineral finish enhances the natural form without obscuring it.
Lime Slurry is a breathable, hand-brushed, two-coat plaster finish that creates a beautifully opaque, matte surface with soft color movement and a velvety, sandy texture. When applied over substrates with natural contours, it gently diffuses edges, lending a softened, organic feel.
Brick
Interior
- Porous (unsealed, unpainted): Direct Application
Limewash & Lime Slurry will penetrate into the porous brick, bonding with it while allowing the silhouette of the substrate to show through and remain breathable.
- Sealed or Painted : Prime then apply
Limewash & Lime Slurry form a surface layer and bond to the top of the primed brick.
**Earthaus does not make a primer product - any latex or PVA primer will work well.

Drywall: Level-4 Finished and Primed
Limewash is a very thin coating and will not cover or hide any surface texture or imperfections. Priming ensures a uniform substrate. All drywall joints and screws should be well primed. The Limewash forms a surface layer and bonds to the top of the primed drywall.
