Color Palette
Earthaus colors are distinctly natural, made with pure mineral pigments and inspired by the earth’s landscapes. We translated this inspiration into a curated Limewash Palette of 43 colors that feel timeless, grounded, and alive. Given the unique qualities of Limewash and our return policy (explained below), we strongly recommend viewing samples before making your final selection.
One gallon covers 200 ft² / bag (two coats). Five gallons covers 100 ft² / box (two coats). Actual coverage may vary with substrate porosity and technique.
Materiality
Limewash is composed of pure lime and pure pigment—the brightness and high light-refractive quality of the lime base makes saturated colors appear even more vibrant, while lighter, less saturated hues may appear softer or more muted depending on ambient lighting.
Tonal Variation
Tonal variation in Limewash is created through the layering of pigmented limewash during brush application. Colors in the Palette marked with the symbol ▫ are lighter tones, which may appear washed out under certain lighting conditions, resulting in minimal or no visible tonal variation. See layering section. Colors without the ▫ symbol are mid-range to darker hues and consistently produce tonal variation in a standard two coat application.

Layering Limewash Colors for Added Dimension
To achieve more depth and dimension, we recommend layering a darker base color beneath a lighter top coat. Begin with a darker color first coat, then layer a lighter shade on top to create nuanced variation. This approach brings visual depth and a subtle sense of movement to the surface.
